A kezdeti tünetek között van a rendszertelen vérzés. Ilyenkor nem a “normális” menstruációs váladék ürül, hanem élénkpiros, pecsételő vérzés jelentkezik, gyakran közvetlenül az aktus után.
Előfordul, hogy a daganat elzárja a méhüreget, ilyenkor erős fájdalom jelentkezik és a bent pangó vér miatt szepszis, mérgezés léphet fel.
Előjel lehet még az erős, sárgás, vagy véres hüvelyfolyás, az erős hát és derékfájdalom, a fájdalmas vizelés, vagy a hüvely és a végbél közötti sipoly kialakulása is.
